EMERGE WITH FORCE
The central theme for today is encapsulated in the phrase “Emerge with Force.” As we delve deeper into the significance of the word “emerge,” which God has imparted to us this year, we recognize that this is a pivotal season for us to step into the fullness of His divine plan. It is a time when we are called to rise and manifest the potential that God has envisioned for us, and we firmly believe that nothing will hinder our emergence this year, in the name of Jesus. I encourage you to share this message with those around you, proclaiming that it is indeed time to emerge with strength and determination. Let us celebrate this moment, giving glory to Jesus for the opportunities that lie ahead.
We have consistently highlighted the scripture from Matthew 11:12, which states that since the days of John the Baptist, the kingdom of heaven has been subjected to violence, and the violent take it by force. This passage emphasizes the dynamic nature of the kingdom of God, which is not static but rather forcefully advancing. It is essential to understand that there is a proactive approach to engaging with the kingdom of God and accessing the benefits of redemption. Merely acknowledging our redemption on a theoretical level is insufficient; we must actively experience the transformative power of what Christ has accomplished for us. The distinction between the legal and vital aspects of redemption is crucial, as it underscores the necessity of experiencing the life-changing effects of Christ’s sacrifice.
The legal aspect of redemption is rooted in the fact that Jesus has paid the ultimate price for our sins, granting us righteousness that is not of our own making but is a gift from Him. The scripture assures us that anyone who is in Christ becomes a new creation, a transformation that transcends physical changes. This new identity is fundamentally a spiritual rebirth, an exchange where Christ’s righteousness is imputed to us, elevating us from a state of sinfulness to one of divine acceptance. When we accept Christ into our lives, we activate the force of righteousness, which empowers us to live in accordance with God’s will. This profound change enables us to fulfill our purpose and to emerge with force, fully equipped to navigate the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
In Romans 14 verse 17, it is stated that the kingdom of God does not solely consist of material things such as meat and drink. Instead, it emphasizes that the kingdom is found in righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. This means that those who are determined and forceful in seeking the kingdom are actually pressing into the realms of righteousness, peace, and joy. It is a powerful declaration that nothing will be able to steal your joy this year, as true joy comes from the kingdom of God and can be experienced consistently regardless of external circumstances.
The concept of “Shalom” is deeply rooted in the Jewish tradition, where individuals greet each other with the word “Shalom” which means peace. This peace is not just any ordinary peace, but it describes the peace that comes directly from God. As believers, when we speak of the kingdom of God advancing forcefully, we are essentially pressing into this divine peace, joy, and righteousness. It is a reminder that where there is joy, there is hope, and where there is hope, there is growth and advancement. The enemy seeks to destroy hope because without it, everything seems lost.
Hope is described as a vital force that keeps individuals moving forward, especially in the face of challenges and adversities.
The Bible assures us that hope does not disappoint because of the love of God that is poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. Therefore, as we strive to advance forcefully into the kingdom of God, we must hold onto the force of hope that propels us forward. The devil will try to hinder our progress by attacking our joy and peace, causing confusion and chaos in our lives. However, by standing firm in the force of righteousness, peace, and joy, we can overcome these obstacles and emerge victorious in our pursuit of the kingdom of God.
In Deuteronomy 26, when examining verses 8-9, the Bible recounts how the Lord led the Israelites out of Egypt with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, accompanied by great terribleness. The New King James Version translates this as “great terror,” while the King James Version uses the term “great terribleness.” This passage highlights a significant moment in the history of the Israelites, emphasizing the power and authority of God in delivering His people from bondage.
This season of life, as described in the text, symbolizes a period where individuals may face challenges that hinder their ability to draw closer to God. The devil, represented as a contender, seeks to disrupt one’s spiritual journey by creating obstacles that may lead to confusion and a sense of helplessness. In such moments, it may become difficult to pray or discern the appropriate course of action, as the enemy attempts to thwart one’s progress in the kingdom of God.
However, the text also conveys a message of hope and liberation. Just as God intervened to rescue the Israelites from the oppressive grip of Egypt, He continues to show up in the lives of His people to break the chains of bondage and set them free. Through the force of heaven and the righteousness of God, individuals can experience a transformation that releases them from generational curses, mental and spiritual bondage, and physical afflictions. Jesus’ mission on earth was to bring abundant life and to dismantle the works of the devil, offering a path to freedom and restoration for all who believe in Him.
It is a significant distinction for individuals to desire to enter heaven, and for you to embody the essence of heaven here on earth. Jesus’ primary purpose was to exemplify the kingdom of God on earth and to establish a new order that transcends the existing one. He aimed to demonstrate that it is possible to live within a certain jurisdiction and experience a different reality. The Bible, in Acts 10:38, states that God anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and power, and he went about doing good, healing the oppressed, and carrying the kingdom and the presence of God wherever he went. He confronted sickness, poverty, confusion, lack, and generational curses, and brought about transformation and deliverance.
When people approached Jesus with their afflictions, he demonstrated his authority by casting out demons and superimposing the kingdom of God on the existing kingdom of darkness. Similarly, in the communion service, it is declared that the reign of the devil and darkness over one’s family and life is coming to an end, and that emergence and victory are assured in the name of Jesus Christ. The message from 1st Corinthians 16:9 emphasizes that despite the opportunities that God opens, there will be adversaries and contention in various spheres of life. It is emphasized that when adversaries arise, it is not a time for negotiation, but a time for force to meet force, with the greater force prevailing over the lower force.
As individuals enter into a new year, it is crucial to understand that regardless of the industry or space in which they operate, there may be contention and opposition. The message encourages individuals to recognize that when faced with adversaries, it is a time for force and determination, and that the greater force will ultimately prevail. The overall message is one of empowerment, faith, and the assurance that despite the challenges and opposition, victory and emergence are possible through the force of faith and the power of God.
In various situations, negotiation may not be effective, and it becomes necessary to display power. This was evident when Moses confronted Pharaoh in Egypt. Pharaoh had exalted himself to the status of a god, a common occurrence in ancient times where rulers were often considered divine or god-like figures. The Apostle Paul also mentioned facing opposition from individuals who saw themselves as beasts in Ephesus. These instances highlight the need for power display when faced with individuals who refuse to negotiate and instead assert their dominance.
When Moses stood before Pharaoh, it was not a negotiation but a demonstration of power. God orchestrated events to showcase His might and establish His authority. Just like a company rebrands to captivate the market, God revealed Himself as the Waymaker by parting the Red Sea for the Israelites and destroying Pharaoh’s army. This act not only showcased His power but also solidified His reputation as a miraculous provider and protector.
As believers, it is essential to tap into the power dimension of our faith. Just as Moses witnessed God’s power in action, we too can experience the supernatural in our lives. By staying connected to the happenings in our church and the works of God, we can witness His power like never before. This power dimension of Christianity is not just a historical concept but a living reality that we can access today through faith and obedience. Let us embrace this power and allow it to transform our lives and the lives of those around us.
Power is often said to not be served a la carte. If one desires to take a position, especially a political one, it cannot simply be taken without some level of force. It is not handed over freely, and certain sacrifices must be made. Life does not always give what is deserved, but rather what is demanded. Many people question why life seems to be unfair, but without exercising authority and leveraging the finished work of Christ, one may not receive what is rightfully theirs. It is necessary to insist and place a demand in order to receive what is due.
In the story of the Israelites in Egypt, God instructed them to go to their neighbors and make demands for articles of gold and silver, which they ultimately received. This demonstrates the concept of demanding what is rightfully yours and receiving favor in return. The Bible recounts how they were able to plunder the Egyptians after 400 years of labor, as God brought a wave of favor that resulted in arrears of payment. This serves as a reminder that unusual restoration can occur, and what belongs to someone by rights can be released by force.
Significant progression in one’s God-given destiny is often preceded by seasons of opposition and temptation. It is important to fight through these challenges and not be afraid of contention, as believers are called to enforce their status as more than conquerors in God. This serves as a reminder that the path to success is not always easy, but with determination and faith, one can overcome and receive what is rightfully theirs.
The situation that may have brought tears to your eyes before you leave this service today requires a decision to be made. It is time to take a stand and declare that you will not shed tears over this matter again. By enforcing your authority in Christ Jesus, you are commanding the situation to give way this year in the name of Jesus Christ. Let us give glory to Jesus for the power we have as a congregation.
As a congregation, we have engaged in prayer and fasting, generating significant spiritual power over this church, our brothers and sisters, and those connected to the Elevation Church worldwide. The conclusion of the fast marks the beginning of a new chapter for everyone. Even if you did not actively participate, being part of this community means that certain negative things will no longer have a place in your life due to the declarations we have made. It is essential to position yourself to not only receive blessings but also to take possession of them by lifting up those who are weak and addressing the needs of others.
Reflecting on Psalm 136, we see how God’s mercy was evident in the history of Israel. The verse that mentions striking Egypt’s firstborn highlights the enduring mercy of God. This mercy is not to be underestimated, as it can bring destruction to the enemy’s camp. When the mercy of God is upon your life, it becomes a terror to those who seek to harm you. As we pray together, let us remember that the mercy of God is a powerful force that can protect us and bring about advancement in the kingdom of God in our lives.
Today, as you partake in the blood of Jesus, let mercy speak for you. In the name of Jesus Christ, let mercy speak for you. In verse 11, it is written, ‘And brought Israel out among them,’ for His mercy endures forever. Now, shift your focus to verse 12, where it is stated, ‘With a strong hand and with an outstretched arm.’ As we step into 2022, may you encounter the strong hand of God, and may His outstretched arm be a covering over your household in the name of the Lord Jesus. This is how you advance forcefully, how you emerge with strength. Let all glory be given to Jesus.
Do not allow yourself to be found in a position of begging when you are meant to be in a position of dominion. Just as the Israelites did not beg during their exit from Egypt, you too shall not beg. You will dominate in the year 2022. I declare over your life today that you will not beg, you will dominate. May the power of God manifest in your life like never before, in the name of the Lord Jesus. The same strong hand of God that brought the Israelites out of Egypt is the same force that raised Jesus from the dead. It is this force that is at work in your life, bringing about victory and dominion.
As a Christian who is constantly emerging, you must engage with the power of resurrection. While others may resort to using occultic powers in various industries, you must stand firm in the power of God. Whether you are entering into negotiations or business discussions, be aware of the spiritual realm and the need to rely on the power of God. In order to build a lasting legacy and raise a family that will stand the test of time, you must be attuned to the power of God. Stay vigilant, stay strong, and let the power of God guide you in all your endeavors.
Achieving success in your career requires more than just hard work and dedication. It demands a certain level of courage and determination that not everyone possesses. To reach the top, you must have the heart of a lion, ready to face challenges head-on and seize opportunities with confidence. It is not enough to simply hope for success or rely on luck; you must be willing to take risks and push yourself beyond your limits. Only those with a lion’s heart will be able to claim their lion’s share of success.
As believers, we are promised in the Bible that we will be the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath. This assurance gives us the strength and motivation to persevere in the face of adversity. When the odds are stacked against us, we can draw upon the power of Jesus Christ in our lives to overcome any obstacles that stand in our way. By trusting in God’s plan for us and staying true to our faith, we can be confident that we will ultimately achieve our goals and fulfill our potential.
To tap into the power of resurrection for emergence in your life, there are three key steps you can take. Firstly, it is essential to stay under the covering of the blood, as described in Exodus chapter 12. This symbolic act represents a deeper understanding of the protection and favor that God provides to those who trust in Him. By acknowledging the significance of this covering and embracing its meaning in your life, you can experience the full extent of God’s grace and guidance as you pursue your goals. Remember, with a lion’s heart and the power of Jesus Christ on your side, you can dominate and emerge victorious in all your endeavors.
In verse 23, the text describes the act of smiting the land of Egypt as a means for the Lord to pass through and smite the Egyptians. It goes on to explain that when the Lord sees the blood upon the lintel and on the two sides, He will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to come onto those inside. This passage is a symbolic representation of divine protection and mercy, as it illustrates the separation and grace that comes from staying under the covering of the blood. The use of animal blood splashed on the door post and lintel during the plague in Egypt served as a means for the Jews in Goshen to be spared from the destruction that befell the firstborn in the land.
Furthermore, the symbolism of the blood extends beyond the Old Testament, as Hebrew chapter 12, verses 23-24, describes the essence of the blood in a broader context. The text speaks of coming to Mount Zion, the city of God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven. This imagery is likened to the consciousness of registration, similar to being a bonafide student in a school. The passage emphasizes the significance of being registered in heaven, which is not a physical symbol like the blood on the houses in Egypt, but rather a spiritual reality that signifies one’s identity as a child of God in the New Testament.
In essence, the symbolism of the blood in the Old Testament and its representation in the New Testament serves as a powerful reminder of the spiritual significance of divine protection and identity as a child of God. The passage in Hebrews underscores the idea of being registered in heaven and belonging to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, highlighting the spiritual reality of one’s relationship with God. This symbolism transcends physical rituals and serves as a profound testament to the enduring nature of divine grace and mercy in the lives of believers.
In examining verses 23 and 24, we find a profound declaration regarding Jesus as the Mediator and the initiator of the new covenant. This passage emphasizes our connection to Him and highlights the significance of His sacrificial blood, which is described as speaking more favorably than the blood of Abel. The Passion Translation of verse 24 further elucidates this concept, stating that we have approached Jesus, who has established a new covenant through His blood, which has been sprinkled upon the mercy seat. This blood continues to resonate with a message of forgiveness, contrasting sharply with Abel’s blood that cried out for justice from the ground after Cain’s heinous act.
The narrative recalls the moment when God acknowledged Abel’s blood, declaring that He could hear its voice from the earth, a poignant reminder of the consequences of sin. In stark contrast, the blood of Jesus, which was shed on Calvary, speaks from a position of authority and majesty, as He sits at the right hand of God. This blood consistently advocates for believers, providing a protective covering that remains steadfast even in perilous circumstances. The realization of this continuous advocacy is crucial, as it assures us of divine protection, akin to the assurance expressed by David in Psalm 23, where he proclaims that even in the darkest valleys, he fears no evil because of God’s presence.
The essence of this protective covering is deeply rooted in the righteousness that believers carry. It is essential to recognize that the only factor that can undermine this covering is a loss of awareness regarding one’s righteousness. Regardless of the circumstances—whether one finds themselves in the air, at sea, or surrounded by malevolent forces—there exists a respect for the authority that believers possess. Just as a driver of a modest vehicle would yield to a larger, more formidable truck, so too do demonic forces recognize the power of those who stand firm in their faith. It is imperative to reject any notion of victimhood, for the Scriptures affirm that we are more than conquerors through Christ. Therefore, it is vital to remain under the protective covering of the blood of Jesus, which embodies mercy, protection, and deliverance from evil, continually speaking on behalf of those who believe.
Firstly, when you engage in prayer and plead the blood of Jesus, it is important to understand the significance of what you are doing. It is not about the blood physically spreading everywhere, but rather about entering into a state of consciousness and awareness of the spiritual forces at play. Just like a radio station that is already broadcasting, you need to tune into the signals that are present in the spiritual realm. Even if you are not tuned to a specific frequency, it does not mean that the signals are not there. You need to remind yourself of the existence of these spiritual signals and tap into them through prayer and pleading the blood of Jesus.
Secondly, it is crucial to engage in persistent and prophetic prayers. This means being consistent in your prayer life and praying with a sense of purpose and foresight. Ephesians 6:18 emphasizes the importance of praying always with all prayers and supplication in the spirit, and watching with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. This verse highlights the need for persistent and prophetic prayers, which involves praying with determination and insight into the spiritual realm. By doing so, you are aligning yourself with the forces of righteousness and peace, and creating an atmosphere of spiritual awareness and empowerment.
In conclusion, when you pray and plead the blood of Jesus, you are acknowledging and entering into the spiritual signals and forces at work in the spiritual realm. It is about being aware of the force of righteousness and peace that envelops you, and tapping into these forces through persistent and prophetic prayers. By doing so, you are aligning yourself with the spiritual realm and creating an atmosphere of spiritual empowerment and awareness.
This year, it is imperative to exhibit a profound commitment to the advancement of God’s kingdom through fervent prayer.
This commitment should extend beyond merely seeking personal needs; it encompasses a wide array of supplications. Engage in prayers for those who are struggling, intercede for your church, and earnestly seek the growth of God’s kingdom. It is essential to pray for the salvation of souls who have yet to embrace faith, as well as to carry a heavy heart for friends who may be on a perilous path. Reflect on the fact that your own journey into faith was likely facilitated by someone else’s prayers, and recognize the power of intercession in your life, whether it was for your marriage, your health, or your professional endeavors.
The current state of your business and personal life is a testament to the collective prayers of those around you. It is crucial to consider who you are lifting up in prayer and to acknowledge the dedicated individuals who consistently pray for the flourishing of God’s kingdom. This year, you have the opportunity to join a community of prayer warriors who are committed to interceding for others. Before we ask for our daily sustenance, we must first honor the divine by praying, “Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Your name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” This prayer emphasizes the priority of God’s kingdom over our immediate needs, reminding us that the kingdom transcends our personal desires.
The kingdom of God is characterized not by material possessions but by righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Unfortunately, many individuals only engage in prayer when it serves their personal interests, often neglecting the broader needs of their community and nation. This self-centered approach has contributed to a decline in collective well-being, as many pursue individual breakthroughs while the fabric of society deteriorates. It is time to shift this mindset; this year, commit to praying for your nation, your family, your church, and the salvation of others. Pray for the prosperity of others’ endeavors, for harmony in marriages, and for the blessing of fruitfulness in all aspects of life. Let this year be marked by a renewed dedication to collective prayer and intercession, ensuring that we reclaim our shared inheritance in God.
There exist prayers that have the incredible power to open the gates of prisons and graves, to bring individuals out of seemingly impossible situations, and to break chains and fetters that bind. These prayers are the ones that can unleash the release of angels and bring about miraculous transformations. It is crucial to engage in these kinds of prayers throughout the year, as they serve as a connection to the power of resurrection and divine intervention.
This year, it is essential to make inspired declarations and faith-filled confessions on a regular basis. By speaking words of truth and alignment with God’s promises, one can set the course for a year filled with blessings, breakthroughs, and supernatural favor. Making confessions based on scripture and declaring positive affirmations can shift the atmosphere and bring about a manifestation of God’s promises in one’s life.
The importance of speaking life-giving words and declarations cannot be overstated. Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that “Death and life are in the power of the tongue,” emphasizing the significance of using our words wisely. By speaking words of victory, faith, and alignment with God’s will, we can overcome challenges, shift our circumstances, and walk in the fullness of God’s blessings. This year, let every word spoken be filled with faith, hope, and the assurance of God’s promises coming to pass in our lives.
Pastor Debo shared a powerful message during the first service, emphasizing the importance of speaking positive declarations over oneself. He mentioned a simple yet impactful practice of speaking to oneself every morning before brushing one’s teeth. By declaring words of edification and progress, Pastor Debo highlighted the significance of setting a positive tone for the day ahead. This practice, lasting only 30 seconds, can potentially shape one’s mindset and attitude towards the day, fostering a culture of positivity and faith.
Pastor Debo further elaborated on the power of declarations in shaping one’s reality. He emphasized the importance of speaking faith-filled words, such as declaring blessings over one’s home or safety over a journey. By following the example of Jesus, who spoke life into seemingly dire situations, Pastor Debo encouraged the congregation to speak words of faith and victory. Through such declarations, he explained, individuals can walk by faith and not by sight, trusting in the power of their words to manifest positive outcomes. As the congregation embraced this practice, Pastor Debo expressed his belief that God would take control of their tongues, leading to tangible results in their lives.
