FOLLOW THE STAR – 2

Last Sunday, we commenced our teaching by delving into Matthew chapter 2, beginning at verse 1, which recounts the arrival of the Magi, or wise men, from the East who journeyed to present gifts to the newborn Christ. These wise men were guided by a star, which they diligently observed and followed in their quest to find the child who had been born. The narrative emphasizes their careful attention to this celestial sign, highlighting their determination to seek out the significance of this extraordinary event. To ensure clarity and understanding of this message, I would like to revisit the text, as it is crucial for our discussion this morning.

In Matthew chapter 2, verse 1, we read, “Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, saying, ‘Where is He who has been born king of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.'” This passage illustrates the star as a powerful symbol of hope. Although the wise men were not privy to the specific promises made by God to Israel, they recognized the significance of the star as an indication of something remarkable. Their understanding led them to believe that the birth of this child was not an ordinary occurrence, but rather a momentous event that warranted their reverence and worship.

The prophetic words found in Isaiah chapter 9 further illuminate the importance of this child, as they foretell the coming of a Messiah. Verse 6 states, “For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” These prophecies, which were articulated centuries prior to Christ’s birth, underscore the anticipation and significance surrounding His arrival. The Jewish people, through their meticulous record-keeping and reverence for God’s promises, maintained a profound awareness of these prophecies, a quality that seems to be lacking among many Christians today. This connection to the past is evident in the narrative of Matthew chapter 2, as it serves as a reminder of the enduring nature of God’s promises and the hope they inspire.

In the second chapter of Matthew, the narrative unfolds with the arrival of the Magi in the vicinity of Jerusalem. These wise men, having observed a celestial phenomenon, inquired about the birthplace of a newly born king. Their announcement stirred confusion and concern within King Herod, who perceived this news as a potential threat to his reign. In his quest for clarity, Herod summoned the Scribes—scholars well-versed in the sacred texts—to ascertain the location of this prophesied king’s birth. The scripture indicates that upon hearing the Magi’s inquiry, Herod was troubled, and this unease extended to all of Jerusalem, highlighting the significance of the event and the anxiety it provoked among the ruling authorities.

Herod’s investigation led him to gather the chief priests and Scribes, who were tasked with interpreting the prophecies concerning the Messiah. They referenced the writings of the prophet Micah, specifically Micah 5:2, which foretold that a ruler would emerge from Bethlehem in the land of Judah. This prophecy underscored the importance of Bethlehem as the designated birthplace of the Messiah, a fact that had been preserved through generations. The historical context reveals a considerable span of time between Micah’s prophecy and the birth of Christ, illustrating the enduring anticipation of a savior among the people of Israel. The Scribes’ ability to pinpoint Bethlehem as the birthplace of the king reflects their deep knowledge of the scriptures and the significance of the prophecies that had been entrusted to them.

The appearance of the star, which guided the Magi, serves as a powerful symbol of hope, representing the fulfillment of God’s promises to humanity. This celestial sign not only directed the wise men to the newborn king but also embodies the assurance of divine intervention and the potential for transformation in the lives of believers. The concept of hope, anchored in God’s promises, resonates deeply, suggesting that there is always a divine purpose to pursue, whether it be deliverance, salvation, or a new beginning. The star signifies a promise worth chasing, reminding us that in every season of life, there exists a beacon of hope that encourages us to seek and embrace the possibilities that lie ahead.

I would like to request your assistance in inquiring with your neighbor this morning about the promises they are currently pursuing. It is essential to understand what commitments they hold dear and what divine messages they have received over the past five years that are destined to manifest. It is a moment to reflect on the glory of Jesus, as even the wise men took considerable time to follow the star that heralded the birth of Christ. This journey was not a mere coincidence; it was a profound pursuit that required patience and dedication, especially when considering the long wait experienced by the Jewish people over centuries. The narrative unfolds further when King Herod, upon learning of the wise men’s visit, issued a decree that would lead to tragic consequences.

The gifts presented to Christ by the wise men were laden with significance, each representing various aspects of reverence and acknowledgment of His divine nature. While many sermons have explored the meaning behind these gifts, the focus today is on the underlying message of hope and faith that they embody. It is crucial to recognize that, without peace and a steadfast commitment to the promises of Christ, one may struggle to maintain hope. This discussion aims to uplift those who may be on the verge of despair, reminding them that their hope is not futile. The power of God’s word is transformative, capable of bringing about self-actualization, but it requires individuals to remain anchored in hope and faith.

The story of Israel’s anticipation and the wise men’s discovery of the star illustrates a profound truth about divine timing and revelation. The wise men, skilled in astrology, recognized the significance of the star and understood that it signified the birth of a momentous figure. Their journey was not instantaneous; it took time and effort, reflecting the broader narrative of waiting and fulfillment that characterizes the Christmas story. It is important to note that the wise men did not encounter Jesus at the manger, as is often depicted; rather, they found Him in a house, indicating that some time had passed since His birth. This detail underscores the reality that significant events often unfold over time, and the wise men’s journey serves as a reminder of the importance of perseverance in the pursuit of divine promises.

In the book of Job, specifically in chapter 14, verses 7 to 9, we find a profound message that resonates deeply with the themes of hope and renewal. The passage articulates that even when a tree is cut down, there remains a glimmer of hope for its revival. It states that the tree may sprout again, and its tender shoots will not cease to emerge, despite the aging of its roots and the apparent death of its stump. The imagery of a tree responding to the scent of water serves as a powerful metaphor for resilience and the potential for regeneration, suggesting that life can emerge anew even from seemingly hopeless circumstances.

Observing the cyclical nature of trees across different seasons provides a vivid illustration of this concept. In regions characterized by distinct seasonal changes, trees undergo remarkable transformations. During winter, they may appear lifeless, stripped of leaves and seemingly devoid of vitality. However, as the seasons shift and the cold recedes, these trees begin to flourish once more, sprouting fresh leaves and vibrant branches. This natural phenomenon mirrors the human experience, where aspirations and dreams may seem dormant or unattainable during challenging times. Yet, just as trees can rejuvenate, so too can individuals find new life in their pursuits when the right conditions arise.

The essence of this message lies in the understanding that hope is a vital component of growth and renewal. Even when circumstances appear bleak, and dreams seem extinguished, it is crucial to maintain faith in the possibility of revival. The passage encourages individuals to remain steadfast in their hope and to align themselves with a divine plan, suggesting that new opportunities and experiences await those who persevere. By nurturing this hope and remaining open to the potential for change, one can witness the emergence of new beginnings and the fulfillment of aspirations, reinforcing the belief that, with patience and faith, life can indeed flourish once again.

Much like Job, you may have encountered significant challenges and disappointments throughout this year. At a certain juncture in his life, as depicted in Job 14, he faced a tumultuous period marked by the disintegration of his marriage, the loss of his children, and the dissolution of his family. Despite these overwhelming adversities, Job maintained a steadfast grip on hope and continued to trust in God, believing that even amidst his suffering, something positive would eventually emerge. As we strive to fulfill our aspirations, we often encounter various obstacles that test our resolve and faith.

Consider the journey of the wise men who followed the star to find the birthplace of Jesus. Their expedition was fraught with challenges, including the vast distance they had to cover and moments of disorientation that necessitated seeking guidance. At one point, they lost their way but ultimately rediscovered the star that led them to Bethlehem. This journey illustrates that the path to our goals is rarely straightforward; it is often filled with unexpected twists and turns. The power of God’s Word is undeniable, capable of fulfilling His divine purposes, yet life itself is characterized by uncertainties that can make it seem as though progress is stalled.

It is crucial to recognize the significance of the mindset with which you approach the New Year, as it may greatly influence the trajectory of the upcoming months. For some, this December or the final quarter of the year may feel particularly challenging, leading to a sense of resignation in various aspects of life. You might find yourself in a state of apathy, feeling as though you are merely drifting along without direction. However, as suggested in Job 14, the presence of hope can be reignited, akin to a refreshing scent of water that stirs life within. This renewed sense of excitement can illuminate your path, dispelling the clouds of despair and allowing you to embrace the New Year with optimism and purpose.

It is imperative that you take responsibility for actively dispelling negative influences from your life, particularly during the reset prayer gatherings scheduled for Friday. During these gatherings, we will focus on transforming the atmosphere around us through prayer and intentional action. As we approach the New Year, it is crucial to recognize that certain detrimental energies must not accompany us into this new season. You possess the authority to eliminate these influences, ensuring that they do not linger in your life any longer.

A wise man of God once illustrated that while you may not have control over whether a bird flies overhead, you do have the power to prevent it from settling on your head. The vastness of the sky allows for many birds to soar freely, yet allowing one to perch upon you and establish a nest can lead to complications. For some individuals, this metaphorical bird has already taken residence, resulting in a cycle of negativity where anxiety breeds worry, worry escalates into panic, and ultimately leads to insomnia. This progression occurs when thoughts of hopelessness and discouragement are permitted to linger unchecked, creating a heavy burden on your mind.

It is essential to understand that you have the ability to change this narrative. The adversary often deceives us into believing that our struggles are insurmountable, suggesting that even the strongest among us would falter under such pressure. However, it is vital to recognize that while it is natural to feel overwhelmed at times, the severity of our situations is often exacerbated by our own perceptions and the thoughts we allow to take root. By permitting negative thoughts to nest in our minds, we inadvertently foster a breeding ground for further distress. It is time to reclaim your mental space and ensure that such burdens do not multiply, as they are not your destined reality.

Regardless of whether you find yourself reflecting on the past, navigating the present, or contemplating future promises, it is essential to adopt a mindset that acknowledges God’s desire to grant you victory.

Our attitude should be one of unwavering belief that God is indeed offering us triumph. This conviction is not merely a statement of faith but a profound understanding that underpins our spiritual journey. It is imperative to recognize that God’s intention is to lead us toward success and fulfillment, and we must embrace this truth wholeheartedly. Let us give glory to Jesus for this assurance, as it serves as a foundation for our hope and resilience.

As we gather in this moment, I urge you to look around and identify anyone who may appear weary or disheartened. It is crucial to remind them that the Holy Spirit is actively working within them, addressing feelings of discouragement and anxiety. This morning, God is proclaiming that He is paving the way for us as we approach the year 2020, ensuring that any obstacles in our path are made straight. It is vital to internalize this message and allow it to resonate within your heart, fostering a belief in the promises of God, which the Bible affirms as being certain and unwavering in Christ Jesus. We must remain steadfast and not lose sight of our guiding star, even in the face of adversity.

As we prepare to step into the unknown, it is important to reflect on our experiences and the lessons they impart. I have encountered the unknown on several occasions throughout my life, and I would like to share three key insights that may prove beneficial. Before delving into those points, I recall a significant moment in December 2002 when I was aware that my life was about to change dramatically with my upcoming marriage in 2003. This transition into a new role brought with it a sense of uncertainty, much like what some of you may be facing as you approach new titles or responsibilities in the coming year. It is worth noting that a recent study I encountered suggested that having a 70% certainty about a decision is sufficient to move forward. While this perspective originates from a business context, it serves as a reminder that we do not need to have absolute clarity to take the next step in our journey.

The tendency for individuals to succumb to feelings of discouragement often stems from a reluctance to make timely decisions. Many people find themselves paralyzed by the desire for perfection, which can hinder their ability to act decisively. The biblical proverb suggests that those who are overly cautious, akin to observing the wind, will miss opportunities to sow seeds of potential. This notion raises an important question: have you genuinely sought divine guidance in your decision-making process? It is crucial to reflect on whether you have received a clear message from God regarding significant life choices, such as marriage. The internal struggle of seeking confirmation can lead to a state of inaction, where one waits for an unmistakable sign before proceeding.

In moments of uncertainty, it is common to experience a sense of hesitation while simultaneously feeling a deep-seated conviction. This internal conflict can be likened to the behavior of individuals in the Old Testament who sought signs from God, such as laying out a fleece to determine divine will. However, such practices can complicate the decision-making process unnecessarily. Instead of waiting for overt signs, it is essential to recognize the peace and conviction that can guide one’s steps into the unknown. The journey of faith often requires moving forward despite uncertainty, trusting that the inner sense of peace is a form of divine affirmation.

A personal anecdote illustrates the challenges of navigating unexpected life changes. In late 2009, a conversation with my pastor revealed that he believed I had a significant assignment within the body of Christ, set to commence in the following year. This revelation was both surprising and daunting, as it signified a major shift in my life that I had not anticipated. Standing before him, I felt an overwhelming sense of fear and uncertainty, questioning whether I was truly prepared for such a transition. However, the assurance of a promise from God can provide the strength needed to confront the unknown. Embracing faith in the face of uncertainty allows one to navigate life’s challenges with confidence, knowing that divine guidance is present even when the path ahead is unclear.

It is essential to recognize that one cannot dictate the manner in which God communicates or accompanies an individual on their journey. Instead, it is crucial to cultivate the courage to dispel the pervasive atmosphere of fear, anxiety, and worry. By doing so, one can confidently affirm their aspirations, whether it be becoming a grandfather, launching a business, or initiating a ministry in the year 2020. The belief that God has already paved the way and is orchestrating events for one’s benefit instills a sense of assurance. When one acknowledges that God has a divine plan and is actively collaborating with them, it fosters a level of boldness necessary to take decisive actions and navigate the uncertainties that lie ahead.

To successfully venture into the unknown, it is imperative to confront and overcome discouragement. Throughout the scriptures, numerous individuals have faced and triumphed over discouragement, demonstrating the importance of resilience in the face of adversity. It is a testament to the strength of faith that believers can draw upon their experiences and the teachings of the Bible to combat feelings of despair. The significance of this struggle against discouragement resonates deeply, as it serves as a reminder of the unwavering support that God provides during challenging times. The personal reflections shared here highlight the transformative power of faith and the necessity of perseverance.

Reflecting on personal experiences, one can recall the pivotal moments that shaped their journey. Approximately four years ago, during the months of November and December, there was a significant transition for the church, moving from a smaller location to a more expansive venue. This period was marked by a struggle to expand one’s vision and embrace the possibilities that come with growth. The anticipation of increased opportunities often brings about uncertainty, akin to the anxiety of having a stocked warehouse without customers. Nevertheless, the commitment to show up each day, fueled by the conviction that God has ordained this next chapter, is vital. This practical approach to faith emphasizes the importance of remaining steadfast and hopeful, even when the path ahead appears unclear.

In Genesis 15, a significant encounter unfolds between Abraham and God, where the divine presence manifests to address Abraham’s deep-seated concerns. Abraham, grappling with the reality of his childlessness, poses a poignant question to God, expressing his frustration and uncertainty regarding the future of his lineage. He laments that Eliezer of Damascus, a servant in his household, has become the presumptive heir, highlighting the emotional weight of holding onto a promise that has remained unfulfilled for nearly 25 years. This moment encapsulates Abraham’s struggle as he seeks clarity and reassurance from God, demonstrating his desire for a tangible fulfillment of the divine promise.

As Abraham articulates his feelings of discouragement, he emphasizes the absence of an heir born from his own lineage, which intensifies his longing for a child. He acknowledges Eliezer’s role in his household but firmly asserts that this servant cannot fulfill the promise God made to him. In response to Abraham’s heartfelt inquiry, God reassures him with a profound declaration, stating that the heir will indeed come from his own body. This divine affirmation serves to rekindle Abraham’s hope, illustrating the transformative power of seeking God’s presence during times of doubt and despair. The dialogue between Abraham and God exemplifies the importance of faith and the necessity of confronting one’s fears and uncertainties.

The narrative further illustrates how spending time in God’s presence can rejuvenate one’s spirit and restore clarity to faded visions. Abraham’s initial picture of the promise, akin to a long-held black-and-white photograph, had become increasingly obscure over the years. However, through divine interaction, God offers a reprint of that promise, allowing Abraham to see it with renewed vibrancy and hope. This metaphor of reprinting signifies the revitalization of faith and the restoration of hope that can occur when one earnestly seeks God. In this season, it is essential to engage deeply with the divine, as such encounters can illuminate the path forward, rekindling the dreams and promises that may have dimmed over time.

This Christmas, dedicating time to be in His presence will allow the promises of God to manifest once more. Regardless of the mental torment inflicted by adversarial forces, the divine assurances regarding your family will undoubtedly come to fruition. The declarations made by God concerning your marital future are destined to be realized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Furthermore, the promises related to your new business venture will also materialize, as assistance is on its way to you through the grace of the Lord Jesus. It is essential to combat feelings of discouragement, as illustrated in the story of Jacob in Genesis 28, who, despite his cunning efforts to secure a blessing, found himself fleeing as a fugitive.

Upon reaching Bethel, Jacob encountered a transformative moment when God renewed his hope. Awakening from his dream, he recognized the divine presence in that place, exclaiming that the Lord was indeed there, even when he had been unaware. God did not need to utter a word; the very atmosphere was charged with hope. As Jacob continued his journey to his uncle Laban’s house, he did so with renewed faith, promising God a tithe upon his return if He would protect him as He had promised. Despite entering a challenging environment dominated by Laban’s deceitful practices and constant wage manipulation, Jacob’s faith in God’s word sustained him, demonstrating that divine support can prevail even in the most adverse circumstances.

A brother shared a remarkable testimony with me yesterday during my visit to the teen’s concert. Upon seeing me, he expressed his eagerness to reconnect, recalling a previous conversation we had. He mentioned that during that encounter, I had encouraged him to adhere to God’s promises as he embarked on starting his own business. I advised him to establish a covenant with God by tithing from his business endeavors, emphasizing the importance of creating a spiritual foundation akin to the practices of the Old Testament saints, who would build altars and dig wells as symbols of their commitments to God.

He recounted his journey into the real estate sector, where he sought to expand his operations. As we discussed his aspirations, I reiterated the significance of maintaining a covenant with God in his business dealings. He shared that he had acquired a piece of property with the intention of developing twenty-one houses. In a remarkable act of faith, he decided to write checks corresponding to a percentage of the costs involved in the project. Although I did not instruct him to take this step, he felt led to commit a portion of the proceeds from each house sold back to God, demonstrating his dedication to honoring the covenant he had established.

As our conversation progressed, he revealed that twelve of the houses had already garnered commitments from potential buyers, which filled him with joy and gratitude for God’s faithfulness. His testimony serves as a powerful reminder of the blessings that can arise from a steadfast commitment to God and the principles of tithing. It inspired me to reflect on my own desires for a similar testimony, prompting me to pause and pray for my own opportunities and blessings. His experience not only highlights the importance of faith in business but also illustrates the profound impact of honoring one’s commitments to God in all aspects of life.

Suddenly, he recounted an unexpected encounter with a group of individuals who appeared unremarkable at first glance. They expressed a desire to acquire twenty-one houses, prompting him to consider the possibility of arranging a meeting to discuss the commitments made by others involved in the transactions. He felt a surge of anxiety, recalling a previous ordeal with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). In that instance, he had sold a property that turned out to be linked to illicit funds, resulting in the money being traced back to his account. This experience had left him shaken, as he had to clarify his innocence to the EFCC, presenting all relevant documentation to prove that he was merely a property seller and had no involvement in any wrongdoing.

Given his past experiences, he was adamant about ensuring that the new buyers were not politically exposed or involved in any dubious activities. The individuals in question took the time to explain their backgrounds and the legitimacy of their operations, which ultimately assuaged his concerns. Following this, he organized a meeting with the original buyers to discuss the situation. However, the response was mixed; while most were open to dialogue, one individual threatened legal action if he proceeded with the negotiations. Despite this setback, he remained optimistic, noting that at least eleven of the buyers were willing to engage in discussions. After further prayer and reflection, he approached one of the buyers again, who expressed a willingness to negotiate and even offered some incentives, leading to a more favorable outcome.

He reflected on the unexpected financial alert he received in his account, which seemed to signal a positive turn of events amidst the challenges he faced in 2020. He emphasized a profound belief that divine intervention was still very much alive and that there exists a pathway to connect with this higher power, provided one remains open-hearted and resilient against discouragement. Drawing inspiration from the biblical account of David in 1 Samuel chapter 30, he noted how David faced immense adversity when the Amalekites devastated his camp and captured his loved ones. In that moment of despair, David found strength by encouraging himself in the Lord, a lesson he deemed crucial for overcoming discouragement. He pondered the implications had Joseph, another biblical figure, not summoned the courage to combat his own discouragement, underscoring the importance of perseverance in the face of trials.

Joseph, often referred to as the dreamer, exemplifies resilience in the face of adversity. Reflecting on his journey, one might ponder the consequences had he chosen to succumb to discouragement. It is crucial to recognize that yielding to despair could have led him to abandon his aspirations, ultimately resulting in a life devoid of fulfillment. This message resonates with those who may be grappling with their own challenges; it serves as a reminder that perseverance is essential. In this season of trials, it is imperative to remain steadfast and not to surrender to the weight of difficulties.

The journey toward one’s goals can often be fraught with distractions, much like the Israelites faced during their time in the wilderness. Life’s challenges can easily divert attention from the promises that lie ahead. It is vital to maintain focus on one’s faith and purpose, as distractions are omnipresent, often creeping in unnoticed. These distractions can stem from various sources, including unproductive relationships, social media, and unfounded anxieties about the future. To break free from detrimental patterns, one must cultivate tenacity and a strong belief in the positive outcomes that align with divine promises, rather than becoming ensnared by negative thoughts and fears.

To illustrate my point, consider the recurring issue of academic underachievement, which may stem from a lack of seriousness or insufficient engagement with reading materials. If you have resolved to improve your reading habits but are still apprehensive due to previous failures, it is essential to recognize that such setbacks do not define your potential for success. Similarly, in the realm of personal relationships, one may find themselves struggling due to a lack of understanding or experience. The act of seeking knowledge, such as through reading insightful books like “Gauging Readiness for Marriage” or “Burning Questions Flaming Answers,” can serve as a catalyst for change, enabling individuals to break free from detrimental patterns.

As you embark on this journey of self-improvement, it is crucial to acknowledge that you are no longer bound by past failures. The assistance of mentors and the guidance found in literature can empower you to manage emotions, such as anger, that may have previously hindered your progress. By actively engaging with these resources, you can cultivate a mindset that embraces change and fosters hope. It is vital to affirm to yourself that transformation is occurring and that you are not a prisoner of your past experiences. This shift in perspective is essential, as clinging to negative patterns can serve as a significant distraction from your goals.

As you prepare for the upcoming year, it is imperative to seek divine guidance and establish clear objectives. If you find yourself without a specific plan, take the initiative to formulate one and pursue it with determination. By the end of the year, aim to have identified at least three, if not ten, aspirations that you wish to achieve with God’s assistance. It is essential to remain steadfast in your commitment, resisting discouragement and distractions along the way. God has already laid out a path for you, and understanding His word will illuminate what you should be anticipating. Engaging with this wisdom will equip you to navigate your journey effectively and recognize the opportunities that lie ahead.

It is essential to maintain hope, especially during challenging times when discouragement may lead individuals to adopt a more cautious approach to life. I recall a conversation with a young woman several years ago as we approached the New Year. She expressed her reluctance to discuss her aspirations for marriage, stating that she had decided to remove it from her plans. Despite our previous discussions about trusting in God for this very desire, she felt disheartened as the year was drawing to a close, leading her to adopt a mindset of resignation, allowing circumstances to dictate her path. This attitude, however, is not reflective of a faithful Christian spirit.

If one were to encounter Abraham during a moment of doubt, particularly in the fifteenth year of his waiting, it would be disheartening to hear him express a similar defeatist attitude. In Genesis 15, Abraham remained steadfast in his belief, affirming his trust in God despite the passage of time. This unwavering faith is a testament to the importance of holding onto hope, as articulated in Romans 5:5, which assures us that hope does not lead to disappointment. While the fulfillment of our hopes may not always align with our timelines, the essence of hope is rooted in the love of God, which is abundantly present in our hearts through the Holy Spirit.

It is crucial to differentiate between genuine hope anchored in God’s promises and the false hopes that may be propagated by the world. True hope is not unfounded; it is fortified by faith, which provides substance to our aspirations. The Word of God serves as a steadfast anchor for our hope, ensuring that it is not merely wishful thinking. As believers, we must ground our hope and faith in the profound love that God has for us, recognizing that this love is unwavering and passionate. Therefore, let us commit to keeping hope alive, nurturing it with faith, and confidently anticipating the fulfillment of God’s promises in our lives.

I urge you to take a moment to reflect on your neighbor once more and convey to them that the person you are evolving into holds greater significance than the challenges you are currently facing. It is essential to reiterate that your transformation is far more crucial than the difficulties at hand. As you observe the various elements depicted in this presentation, it becomes evident that emerging from a state of confinement into the vibrancy of real life necessitates considerable effort.

Breaking free from one’s limitations is akin to shedding a protective shell, a process that ultimately introduces you to a renewed existence.

Many individuals remain preoccupied with their present struggles, often losing sight of their potential for growth and transformation. When one becomes overly focused on their immediate hardships, it can hinder the journey of self-discovery and development. The transition from a caterpillar to a butterfly, while inherently challenging, requires perseverance and resilience. Just as Jesus endured significant trials for the joy that lay ahead, so too must we embrace the shaping and refining processes in our lives. Consider the journey of a piece of fabric; it undergoes cutting, shaping, and weaving before it becomes the exquisite garment you proudly wear today. This transformation, though arduous, ultimately leads to a state of beauty and fulfillment, much like the experience of attending Elevation Church, where one can truly appreciate the fruits of their labor.
