FORTIFY
In the fourteenth chapter of the Gospel of John, specifically beginning at verse 12, Jesus makes a profound declaration regarding the capabilities of those who believe in Him. The lack of mental renewal can obstruct one’s ability to fully grasp and act upon the will of God, which encompasses what is good, acceptable, and perfect.
A renewed mind possesses the capacity to comprehend divine intentions, enabling believers to step into their God-given potential.
As we embrace this transformation, we become vessels through which God’s light can shine brightly, fulfilling His purpose in a world that desperately needs it.
In accordance with Romans chapter 12, verse 2, I invite you to affirm with me this evening, declaring that my mind is renewed and my spirit is alert to fulfill the will of God in 2021. Let us repeat this affirmation together: my mind is renewed, and my spirit is prepared to execute the divine purpose in this year. Furthermore, let us proclaim, I will accomplish greater works in the name of the Lord Jesus. If you resonate with this declaration, I encourage you to respond with a resounding amen. The human mind can be compared to a garden, one that can be cultivated with intention and care. However, if left unattended, it will yield whatever happens to take root, often resulting in unproductive growth.
One of the blessings that God has in store for us during this season is the call to intentionally sow the right seeds within the fertile ground of our minds. It is essential to fill our thoughts with the teachings and promises found in the Word of God. A neglected mind, much like an uncultivated garden, will inevitably produce whatever is present, often leading to undesirable outcomes. As we navigate through life, particularly in regions abundant with lush rainforests, we observe a variety of vegetation. Some of these plants are the result of deliberate planting, while others grow haphazardly without intention. Similarly, many individuals lead lives that resemble untamed wilderness, filled with thoughts and habits that have not been purposefully nurtured, resulting in a lack of fruitful outcomes.
However, when we take the initiative to cultivate our minds with care, akin to tending to a well-kept garden, we can expect to see a bountiful harvest. By embracing the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we can plant the seeds of God’s Word deep within our hearts, leading to the emergence of fruitful and meaningful results in our lives. This process of intentional cultivation is what enables us to achieve the greater works that God desires to manifest through us. It is this transformative journey that God envisions for each of us, as we strive to align our thoughts and actions with His divine purpose, ultimately leading to a life that bears witness to His glory.
Numerous individuals often desire for remarkable events to unfold in their lives purely by coincidence. They envision waking up to a day filled with extraordinary occurrences without any effort on their part. However, the divine approach emphasizes the importance of personal responsibility in collaboration with God. This entails a conscious and deliberate effort to cultivate the seeds of God’s word within one’s heart. When scripture proclaims that one is “more than a conqueror,” it is essential to embrace and reflect upon this truth. Similarly, when the Bible affirms God’s healing power, one must not only believe but also meditate on past experiences of healing, recalling the promises made in Exodus regarding divine provision and protection.
The scriptures remind believers of God’s covenant, particularly in Exodus, where He assures that He will bless their sustenance and remove sickness from their midst. This assurance is further reinforced by the promise that when He sees the blood, He will pass over His people, sparing them from calamity. As one partakes in communion, it is vital to recognize that God is preparing individuals for a season of divine protection and favor. In this context, every malevolent force present in the environment is destined to pass over those who are faithful, invoking the name of Jesus. The call for an affirmation of faith is not merely rhetorical; it is an invitation to acknowledge the power of God’s promises in one’s life.
As prayers are lifted in faith, it is crucial to grasp the notion that this year is designated for personal glorification by God.
